A lovely African necklace made of barrel shaped butterscotch resin beads. I believe this was made in Kenya in the second half of the Twentieth Century. The beads test positive for Bakelite with simichrome. They are seamless and have a lovely luster. They are strung on nylon chord and are separated by oxidized metal beads. Beautiful on its own or layered with other necklaces.

The beads are  22 mm in length and 12 mm across. The string is 60 cm (23 1/2") long. Weight is 104.3 g.
